  Schoon; Jantje (Janny) (nee Bergsma) Safe in the Arms of Jesus Janny passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 12, 2011 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital. Dearly beloved wife of John Schoon for 63 years. Loving mother of Joyce (Peter), Teena (Bob), Jack (Cathi), Dick (Kim), Alice (Matt), and Peter. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Derek), Karen (Ian), Devon (Rob), Amy (Matt), Mark, Rachel, Jonathan, Phillip, Vicki, Erin (Dave), Keifer and Lucas. Great grandmother to Lauryn, Bryce, Camden and Alyssa. Will be greatly missed by two sisters in the Netherlands, Joukje Bosma and Dukke Dijkstra and extended family in Canada and the Netherlands. Visitation will be at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Friday, April 15 from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 440 King St. E., Cobourg on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. Interment at Union Cemetery, Cobourg. Her unwavering love for her family, her genuine affection for people, her kindness and her spirit will always be remembered.
